Head Of E-Commerce
Description
E-Commerce Business Management:
- Own online sales performance against approved revenue, growth, and profitability targets.
- Monitor trading performance across platforms on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Drive demand generation through campaigns, product drops, and marketplace promotions.
- Identify underperformance, stock risks, and growth opportunities and initiate corrective actions.
- Lead e-commerce profitability through data-driven marketing and platform solutions.
Digital Merchandizing and Assortment Execution:
- Ensure product listings, images, pricing, descriptions, and availability are accurate and timely.
- Work with Supply Chain and Merchandising to prioritize online-suitable SKUs and depth.
- Execute markdowns, clearance, and liquidation through digital channels.
- Optimize category visibility and product placement to drive sell-through.
Order Fulfilment and Operations Coordination:
- Own the end-to-end order lifecycle from customer purchase to final delivery.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and couriers to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery.
- Monitor cancellations, delays, and backlogs and drive resolution.
- Improve fulfilment speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Returns, Claims and Customer Experience:
- Own online returns, refunds, exchanges, and claims workflows.
- Ensure damaged and defective products are reconciled with Warehouse and Finance.
- Reduce turnaround times for customer resolution.
- Use customer feedback and complaints to improve service quality and processes.
Platform and Marketplace Management:
- Manage performance across Insignia’s website, apps, and marketplace partners.
- Coordinate with IT and digital partners on platform uptime, functionality, and reporting.
- Ensure marketplace compliance, product feeds, pricing integrity, and promotions are executed correctly.
Budget and Performance Management:
- Manage e-commerce operating budgets including marketing, marketplace fees, logistics, and technology.
- Track ROI on campaigns, promotions, and platforms.
- Identify cost leakages and revenue opportunities and recommend improvements to the CEO.
Cross Functional Alignment:
- Lead initiatives for system automation and business process optimization to enhance operational efficiency
- Act as the central owner of online execution across Supply Chain, Marketing, Warehouse, Finance, and IT.
- Align promotional calendars with inventory availability and fulfilment readiness.
- Ensure new launches, sales events, and campaigns are operationally viable.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)

Experience
8–12 years’ experience in e-commerce, omni-channel retail, or digital commerce operations. Experience managing online sales, fulfilment, and marketplaces in a multi-store retail environment
