Specialist Logistics & Fleet Operations

Description
  • Plan, manage, and optimize logistics operations for primary and secondary distribution.
  • Oversee company-owned and outsourced fleet operations, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization and efficiency.
  • Monitor key logistics KPIs, including delivery timelines, cost per trip, fuel efficiency, and service levels.
  • Develop and manage transportation routes, load planning, and dispatch schedules.
  • Manage relationships with transporters, fleet vendors, and service providers, including rate negotiations and SLA management.
  • Ensure timely preventive maintenance, vehicle fitness, insurance, and legal compliance of the fleet.
  • Control logistics and fleet-related costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Manage fleet safety, driver discipline, training coordination, and incident management.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse and retail teams to resolve delivery issues and operational escalations.
  • Prepare regular MIS reports and dashboards for management review and informed decision-making.
Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration • Professional certifications in Logistics / Supply Chain will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

Competencies:
Strong skills in logistics and fleet operations, regulatory compliance, route optimization, vendor management, data analysis, ERP/MS Excel proficiency, stakeholder coordination, and cost optimization. 

Experience

5-7 years of logistics and fleet operations experience, preferably in retail, FMCG, fast fashion, or distribution environments, with exposure to both owned and outsourced fleets.
