Sr. Specialist Logistics & Fleet Operations
Description
- Plan, manage, and optimize logistics operations for primary and secondary distribution.
- Oversee company-owned and outsourced fleet operations, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization.
- Monitor logistics KPIs including delivery timelines, cost per trip, fuel efficiency, and service levels.
- Develop and manage transportation routes, load planning, and dispatch schedules.
- Manage relationships with transporters, fleet vendors, and service providers; negotiate rates and SLAs.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules, vehicle fitness, insurance, and legal compliance of fleet.
- Control logistics and fleet-related costs; identify and drive cost-optimization initiatives.
- Handle fleet safety, driver discipline, training coordination, and incident management.
- Coordinate closely with warehouses and retail teams to resolve delivery issues and escalations.
- Prepare regular MIS reports and dashboards for management review and decision-making.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration
• Professional certifications in Logistics / Supply Chain will be an added advantage
Required Skills
Competencies:
Strong skills in logistics and fleet operations, regulatory compliance, route optimization, vendor management, data analysis, ERP/MS Excel proficiency, stakeholder coordination, and cost optimization.
Experience
7-8 years of logistics and fleet operations experience, preferably in retail, FMCG, fast fashion, or distribution environments, with exposure to both owned and outsourced fleets.
