Assistant Manager Imports
Description
- Collaborate with foreign vendors, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipments and clearances.
- Manage financial instruments, including LC (Letter of Credit) and CAD (Cash Against Documents).
- Handle all related banking documentation and execution.
- Oversee complete documentation for import and export cycles, ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations.
- Engage in negotiations with service providers and vendors to optimize costs and service levels.
- Work closely with the Finance department to ensure all import-related payments and reconciliations are processed accurately.
Qualification
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with a major in Finance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (required).
- Advanced MS Office skills (specifically Excel for tracking and reporting).
- Strong Negotiation skills.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience
06–08 years of proven experience in import operations and documentation.
