HSE Specialist
Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental management systems in compliance with national and international standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Organize and lead safety training sessions, drills, and awareness programs to enhance employee engagement and compliance.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; perform root cause analyses and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, and local environmental laws, maintaining documentation for inspections and audits.
- Monitor waste management, air quality, and water usage to ensure adherence to ISO 14001 and promote sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and prepare performance reports using key HSE metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations and new projects.
- Support management in certification, audit preparation, and continuous improvement of HSE systems.
Qualification
Minimum Bachelors in Environmental Sciences with NEBOSH Level 6 & OTHM Level 5
Experience
4-6 years of relevant Lead HSE experience, preferably in retail sector / Warehouse
