Jewellery Designer
Description
- Design and develop original jewellery concepts and collections in line with brand identity and market trends.
- Create sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications for production and sampling.
- Select and source materials, gemstones, metals, and finishes appropriate for each design.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure feasibility, quality, and timely execution.
- Work with Marketing and Merchandising teams to support collection launches, campaigns, and product storytelling.
- Review and refine prototypes and samples, ensuring design accuracy and quality standards.
- Stay updated on global jewellery trends, customer preferences, and competitor designs.
- Ensure designs meet costing, wearability, durability, and brand standards.
- Maintain and organize design libraries, references, and documentation.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Professional certification or diploma in Jewellery Design is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong sense of aesthetics, proportion, and detailing.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or jewellery-specific tools
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of materials, gemstones, finishes, and production techniques.
- Keen eye for quality, craftsmanship, and market trends.
Experience
3-5 years of experience as a Jewellery Designer, preferably in fine, fashion, or luxury jewellery.
