Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Procurement to support our sourcing and purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will excel at negotiating with suppliers, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard cost-effective suppliers while securing advantageous pricing and terms.
- Monitor incoming supplies, delivery schedules, and lead times to ensure operational continuity.
- Track and analyze quality metrics—including defect rates and rejected goods/services—to improve effectiveness and reduce costs.
- Oversee the preparation and finalization of purchase orders, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure timely delivery of all procured items and promptly resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain an up-to-date and well-organized database of suppliers, delivery timelines, invoices, and supplier performance records.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for all procured items.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Required Skills
- Hands on experience with Microsoft dynamics 365 will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making capabilities.
- Thorough knowledge of the local market and supplier landscape.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight timelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations—preferably in retail sector.
