Assistant Manager Fabric Sourcing
Description
- Identify and evaluate new fabric suppliers.
- Source and develop new fabric qualities in line with seasonal trends
- Coordinate with design/product teams for sampling and approvals.
- Ensure fabrics meet technical and quality specifications.
- Review fabric requirements as per production plans and forecasts.
- Raise purchase orders, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
- Monitor and ensure on-time deliveries as per production schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors for reliability.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Visit mills and conduct factory/vendor audits as required.
- Negotiate best possible rates without compromising on quality.
- Support in budgeting and cost control through competitive sourcing.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Design, PD, Quality, and Production.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on sourcing status.
- Stay updated with market trends, fabric innovations, and global price movements.
- Participate in fabric exhibitions and supplier meets.
Qualification
Minimum 3 - 4 Years in Fabric Sourcing

Experience
Masters or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Textile Management or related field
