Assistant Manager Fabric Sourcing

Description
  • Identify and evaluate new fabric suppliers.
  • Source and develop new fabric qualities in line with seasonal trends
  • Coordinate with design/product teams for sampling and approvals.
  • Ensure fabrics meet technical and quality specifications.
  • Review fabric requirements as per production plans and forecasts.
  • Raise purchase orders, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
  • Monitor and ensure on-time deliveries as per production schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors for reliability.
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
  •  Visit mills and conduct factory/vendor audits as required.
  • Negotiate best possible rates without compromising on quality.
  • Support in budgeting and cost control through competitive sourcing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Design, PD, Quality, and Production.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on sourcing status.
  • Stay updated with market trends, fabric innovations, and global price movements.
  • Participate in fabric exhibitions and supplier meets.
Qualification

Minimum 3 - 4 Years in Fabric Sourcing

Experience

Masters or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Textile Management or related field
