Assistant Manager Procurement
Description
- Perform risk management of procurement contracts and agreements to have long term savings on procurement costs
- Discover cost effective suppliers and negotiate to secure advantageous terms
- Tracking of incoming supplies and delivery times to manage expectations in terms of quality and lead times
- Analyzing the quality of goods & services by tracking metrics such as defect rates, rejection of goods & services with the aim to reduce cost & improve effectiveness
- Finalize details of Purchase Order & Delivery Times
- Ensure timely delivery of items procured
- Maintain database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices & supplier quantity
Qualification
Bachelors / Masters in Supply Chain Management or relevant
Required Skills
- Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Negotiation & Decision Making Skills
- Strong knowledge of the local market
- Computer/MS Office proficiency. (This may be tested)
Experience
Minimum 4-5 years’ of relevant work experience
