Assistant Manager Procurement

Description
  • Perform risk management of procurement contracts and agreements to have long term savings on procurement costs
  • Discover cost effective suppliers and negotiate to secure advantageous terms
  • Tracking of incoming supplies and delivery times to manage expectations in terms of quality and lead times
  • Analyzing the quality of goods & services by tracking metrics such as defect rates, rejection of goods & services with the aim to reduce cost & improve effectiveness
  • Finalize details of Purchase Order & Delivery Times
  • Ensure timely delivery of items procured
  • Maintain database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices & supplier quantity
Qualification

Bachelors / Masters in Supply Chain Management or relevant

Required Skills

  • Interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Negotiation & Decision Making Skills
  • Strong knowledge of the local market
  • Computer/MS Office proficiency. (This may be tested)

Experience

Minimum 4-5 years’ of relevant work experience
